Sounds less fishy after hearing that, but I agree with the notion that there would be more questions. I had a two page questionnaire to fill out when we got our dog.

Either way - s3c is right, too much stuff going on in the Drak house around xmas. Wait until the inlaws leave, at least.

Oh and I just noticed the pic - he's cute as fuck.

I seriously doubt it was spontaneous. I think the whole thing was planned. :P

Welp, probably a good thing but this dog won't work out.

Weird thing is, my wife was interested and is the one that seems to want a dog the most, until I asked her to call the breeder. Then she went cold. I'm trying to get her involved for once. She wants a dog, but won't help do the foot work. So there it is. History repeats.

History repeats?

Do tell.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

PUPPY!
But yes, Christmas not likely the best time. Sounds like you're hesitant for a reason. Just wait and the right dog will come along. I'm also all about rescues and SPCA. Maybe keep your eyes peeled for local places. The right dog will find you :)

History repeats just meaning that, my wife seems to be the one interested more than me, although I wouldn't really mind. But when it comes down to it, I field all the work. I make all the calls and do all the research. I asked her to get involved and call the breeder, then she goes cold. Makes me think she's really not on board. It is a huge commitment.

And the SPCA probably isn't a bad idea Puck. Mutts do tend to be healthier because that's how nature works. Healthy genes tend to be dominant when a dog has multiple mixes. And these dogs do need homes. I don't want to come off as a dog snob, but I just love the Boston Terriers as a breed for personality etc.

Anyways, we can wait.

It's true. I understand liking the 'look' of a dog, too. But finding a good fit for the family is important, too.

Adoption dogs can come with a host of unknowns as far as history so neither situation is perfect.

Adopt a dog you save two lives. The life of the dog you adopt, and the dog that can take the adopted dog's space in the shelter.

Or something.

My Christmas Plans

Work.

Pick a day, I will be there. I might be down to 5 days a week by Christmas though.

I am fucking tired of unreliable people.

I've always thought, "Thank Christ for all the unreliable, lazy bastards of the world." Because of them, all a person needs to do is show up regularly and not be totally incompetent and over time, this alone can build a legendary status.

It's my life strategy. A world full of smarter more efficient people scares the shit out of me.

That is how I rose to management in just 2 years in the industry

But when I am putting in 60 hour weeks, I need some help.

I wish I could put in a 60 hour work week. I think I'd have a better chance at getting permission to shoot Beamer than I would at getting overtime.
