If Tampa wins game four, this is your final opportunity to pick up points without having to gamble the points you've already earned. See if you can bite into Drak's lead a little. Or, if your name is Drak, see if you can extend that lead by another few points.

Bit of a tricky one to predict unless your name is Luna.

Chicago won the game, but Tampa took more shots.
Tampa unleashed more hits, but Chicago took more PIMs.
Only 3 goals were scored, but Stamkos and Toews recorded points on 2/3 of those goals.
The margin of victory was one, and Saad had the game-winner.

Here's how you all did:

Luna: 7
F23: 3
Stewie: 3
Drak: 2
Pucky: 2

...which leaves the scoreboard looking like this:

Drak: 85
Pucky: 68
F23: 67
Stewie: 65
Lunatik: 64
FON: 57
Codes: 23

We'll wrap up the bonus questions for this year with a mini-fantasy question:

Pick three skaters. You earn two points for every goal scored by those players in game 5, and one point for every assist. There are only two rules:

1) You must pick at least one skater from each team.
2) You must pick at least one defenceman.

After this question we'll be into the final stage of the competition. Here's hoping for a 7-6 track meet.

So much for 7-6. The only relevant point from game 5 was an assist from Toews, giving a single point to Luna, Stewie, Drak, and Pucky.

The scoreboard after 5 games is as follows:

Drak: 86
Pucky: 69
F23: 67
Stewie: 66
Lunatik: 65
FON: 57
Codes: 23

From here on out, there will be no point values assigned to questions. Instead, you'll have to risk the points you've already earned.

The question is a simple one: Who will win game six, and by what score?

If you correctly predict the winner, you'll double your wager. If you correctly predict the winner and score, you'll triple your wager. But if you're wrong about the winner, you'll lose the points you risked.

The betting limit for game six will be 15 points. Send your answers as well as your wagers to me via PM (or Facebook if your PMs aren't working)

As you prepare your answers, there are a few bonuses you may wish to consider:

Should Chicago win game six, Pucky, Stewie, and Luna will earn 4 bonus points for predicting Chicago to win this series.

Should Chicago win game six, Drak and FON will earn 12 bonus points for predicting Chicago to win this series in six games.

Jonathan Toews is currently 2 points behind Tyler Johnson for the playoff scoring lead. Should Toews win (or tie for) the scoring lead, Pucky and FON will earn 5 bonus points.

Regardless of the outcome, FON will earn 5 bonus points for correctly predicting Henrik Lundqvist to be the top goaltender in the playoffs (unless Crawford or Bishop have a historically great performance).

In case there are any ties, priority is as follows, as determined by your rankings after round three:

Drak
Pucky
F23
Luna
FON
Stewie
Codes

So there you have it. The rest is up to you (and the players on the ice, of course). Good luck!

So if Chicago wins, drak pretty much wins.

Well, the favoured Blackhawks have a chance to lock up the Cup with a game on home ice. Sure seems like a gimmie, right? I wondered whether anyone would have the courage to bet against them.

I'll say Hawks win, 3-2

and I'll bet the full amount, 15

3-1 Tampa for 15 pts!

One man had the courage to bet the underdog. In light of the other wagers, this was a very strategic move.

Drak could have bet less than the maximum, but this would have exposed him to the possibility of losing the Cup if someone else managed to predict the exact score. Instead, he bet the full 15.

What this means is that tonight, if Chicago wins by any score, Drak will win his second Playoff Prediction Bet Thingy in three years.

If Tampa wins, on the other hand, Drak's aggressive bet will see him fall out of first place, and leave Flames23 in the driver's seat for the decisive seventh game.

We'll know the result in just a few hours.

A fun fact though: The last time Drak won Playoff Prediction Bet Thingy, his prediction was the exact same as it is tonight: 3-2 Blackhawks. The Blackhawks ended up beating Boston by a score of 3-2 that night.
