I think they would be smart to try to trade it for some defence.

But they aren't normally smart, so maybe they'll just draft another injury prone forward.

I thought for sure that the Oilers would remain the same or move down after having the #1 pick the prior 2 years, and with the potential for Columbus to be losing Nash I thought they would get the first crack at picking a franchise player to replace him.

maybe this was to disprove any "conspiracy theories" that Bettman hates Canadian teams?
