Wanna talk irrational? I know it's better for the team, for him and basically the franchise. But I still don't want it to happen.

I'd be more open trying to trade Kipper. After the season he had? A team like Philly would be someone I would want to talk to.

Also, if people have different opinions we don't need to insult one another, regardless of what we think about their opinions.
it was a general statement, not about a particular person.

but hey as long and fucking love-box like fagopotomus are around there will be confrontation. so i'm done, just ban me

it's like I'm psychic or something!

and for the record.. I respect the amount of time you put in to research and present your hockey posts, but as I said already, you need to learn that this is a forum for DISCUSSION, and that differing opinions are a part of any discussion,

if you can't handle someone disagreeing with or picking apart what you have to say, maybe you should look at presenting your thoughts in a more controlled environment.

We'd have to take Bryzgalov in return. While he's fucking hilarious, I don't know if he's worth that idiotic contract.

To assist in playing pretend Manager, a list of Flames pending free agents with some recent point totals and other tidbits.

FYI, Flames were tied with Tampa (28.4) for 8th oldest team in the league 2011-12 and so I included the current age of players. Devils, Wings Panthers, Ducks, Penguins and Coyotes were all higher average age.

Flames finished 17th in the league with 90 points, 24th in the league in Goals for, 15th in the league in Goals against, 15th in pp, 9th best for ppga, tied 3 ways for 11th in home points(not necessarily wins)

UFAs
Joker- C- recent year 61 points in 82 games/$3m, age 33

Stempniak- R- recently 28 points in 68 games played$1.9m, age 29

Moss-R- recent 9 points in 32 games (injury). previous two years played 58 and 64 games also due to injury. 2008-9 played 81 games for 20 goals and 39 total points. $1.3m, age 30

Kostopolous- R-recently 12 points in 81 games $916,000, age 33

Sarich- (right shot) 7 points and a plus 1 in 62 games ,was a healthy scratch earlier in the season, has suffered from stubborn hip flexor/ass/ back type injury. $3.6m, age 33

Hannan- (left shot) 12 points and minus 10 in 78 games/ $1m, age 33

RFAs
Comeau- L-recently 15 points in 58 games/$2.5m, age 26

Backlund- C- recently 11 points in 41 games/$1.27m, age 23

Jones-C-recently 4 points in 21 games with Flames, yet to play a full season in NHL. $525,000, age 25

Akim Aliu- R- First round pick by OHL Windsor Spitfires in 2005?, left club shortly after major kerfuffle with teammate Steve Downie involving Aliu’s refusal to participate in a humiliating hazing ritual. Teeth were busted out, coach got fired, team got fined, embarrassing international news. Aliu’s once promising career started to go off the rails and was labeled as a difficult player to manage. He wants to prove all his detractors wrong and he can apparently score in bunches with his ass. $845,000 age 22

If you direct the puck in purposely with your ass does it count?

And this is why I don't contribute to these threads. I don't know all the ins and outs of other teams contracts.

I still think Kipper would get moved before Iggy.

Hardly optimistic at all. All he has to do is keep up his pace thus far into his career. He'd have to really slow down to not hit 60 goals.

So hey, here's what I did in Capgeek today because of boredom.

CAPGEEK.COM USER GENERATED ROSTER
My Custom Lineup

FORWARDS
Mike Cammalleri ($6.000m) / Matt Stajan ($3.500m) / Jarome Iginla ($7.000m)
Alex Tanguay ($3.500m) / Roman Cervenka ($3.775m) / Curtis Glencross ($2.550m)
Sven Baertschi ($1.425m) / Mikael Backlund ($0.827m) / Akim Aliu ($0.803m)
Lance Bouma ($0.693m) / Blair Jones ($0.578m) / Tim Jackman ($0.613m)
Paul Byron ($0.578m) /

DEFENSEMEN
Jay Bouwmeester ($6.680m) / Chris Butler ($1.250m)
Mark Giordano ($4.020m) / T.J. Brodie ($0.742m)
Clay Wilson ($0.525m) / Derek Smith ($0.775m)
Anton Babchuk ($2.500m) /

GOALTENDERS
Miikka Kiprusoff ($5.833m)
Leland Irving ($0.660m)
------
CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $54,826,374; BONUSES: $3,636,250
CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $9,473,626

Nearly TEN MILLION DOLLLARS in cap space. Plus the cap could go up to $70 million next season (if there is a next season)

So the Flames could have like FIFTEEN MILLION DOLLARS in cap space.

That's a lot of money, mini-me.

Win.

I also read on CP that Iginla will be traded by the draft. Apparently some dude has insider information that appears to be reliable.

Let the shit storm commence.
